The SolarWise Process

Get a Quote

Step 1: Free Consultation

Step 2: Consumption Analysis

Step 2: Consumption Analysis

At SolarWise Energy we strive to make going solar as simple as possible. We do not believe in high pressure sales tactics and we offer various ways to complete your free solar consultation (in person, virtual/online, phone/email). Standard consultations are approximately 60-90 minutes depending on your availability and questions!

Step 2: Consumption Analysis

Step 2: Consumption Analysis

Step 2: Consumption Analysis

During your free consultation, we’ll discuss and review your utility bill(s) history and determine how much electricity your home consumes each month. Typically, on your utility bill you can find a graph/chart that shows how much electricity you're using per day (or month). This information is key in order to determine how much energy we need to create with your solar system in order to satisfy 100% of your energy needs.

Step 3: Solar System Design

Step 2: Consumption Analysis

Step 3: Solar System Design

During your free consultation we will be designing a solar system that meets your energy needs while utilizing our state-of-the-art design software. Together we’ll provide a drawn-to-scale solar system including: the benefits of going solar, your ROI and payback period, a monthly breakdown of your energy consumption and energy production as well as your daily, monthly and annual savings as well as the cost breakdown, incentives and financing options we have available.

Step 4: Financial Analysis

Step 6: Engineering/Permitting

Step 3: Solar System Design

We partner with some of the best Finance Companies within our industry.

With no money down required we pair you with the best interest rate and terms available. At SolarWise Energy we’ve got your back! After all, Solar only makes sense when the savings makes cents!

Step 5: Contract Agreement

Step 6: Engineering/Permitting

Step 6: Engineering/Permitting

Once you decide on going solar, we try to make the “signing” process simple. SolarWise will furnish an electronic contract agreement, electronic loan documents (if applicable), a Notice of Commencement (County paperwork), and Interconnection (Utility paperwork). Once completed, we arrange a pre-site for one of our RoofTechs to measure your roof, conduct a shading analysis and to determine that your roof is structurally sound for solar.

Step 6: Engineering/Permitting

Step 6: Engineering/Permitting

Step 6: Engineering/Permitting

After the pre-site is complete, we work with a team of engineers to provide the county both the electrical one-line diagrams and site specific stamped drawings needed in order to receive permit approval. As soon as the permit is approved, we contact you within 24 hours to arrange your installation date.

Step 7: Installation

Step 9: Interconnection

Step 7: Installation

During the day of install, a representative will be present to introduce you to our top-notch solar installers and to review our plan for install completion. Once the install is complete, the same representative will be there to walk the jobsite, take photos of your install and make sure you’re a happy customer before we arrange for county inspection(s).

Step 8: Inspection

Step 9: Interconnection

Step 7: Installation

Depending on your county determines what inspections are needed. Most of the time a building inspection and an electrical inspection are needed. We will coordinate with you and the inspectors on the inspection date. The homeowner or business owner will need to be on site during the inspection process.

Step 9: Interconnection

Step 9: Interconnection

Step 9: Interconnection

Upon completed inspections, we submit your Interconnection paperwork along with the approved county inspection results to your utility provider alerting them to swap your existing utility meter with a new bi-directional smart meter. Once the meter has been swapped out, your utility provider grants “Permission to Operate”(PTO) and a representative will meet you at your property to turn your system on and walk you through how your monitoring works.

Savings & Payment Options

Solar Incentives

Purchasing Your System

Purchasing Your System

The Federal Tax Incentive available to anyone who goes solar is 30% of the total system cost. We always recommend speaking to a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or another tax professional to find out if you have the tax liability needed in order to take advantage of any or all of tax credit.

Purchasing Your System

The simplest path is to purchase your system directly. This is the easiest way to boost your property value without raising your property taxes.

Protect yourself from Utility Inflation. The cost of electricity continues to rise year after year. When going solar, you’re protected from utility inflation and your rates don’t increase! We partner with solar finance companies, local banks and credit unions for Home Equity Lines of Credit (HELOCS) and/or Mortgage Refinancing.
